SUITABLE #3
the downbeatniks
directed by Minox
This
compilation is the first evident collaboration between Invisible Recordings
and the italian label Suite inc and is directed and compiled by Minox,
the historical group of this label. Their nearest collaborators and
farest friends participate to this issue dedicated to electronica,
in its various forms. The intent is to confront different schools
and artists to check up the status of this particular form of club
culture.
So beside Minox label’s collaborators like Drama, ABPOPA, Spin
Boldak, T_Bet and Loud Tone Needle aka David Calò/Umberto Saba,
numerous guests from around the world give an important contribution
to this anthology: Acustic and Future 3 aka Thomas Knak (Opiate) hosted
by Bjork to remix a track of her latest “Pagan Poetry”,
Jesper Skaaning (Acustic) and Anders Remmer (Dub Tractor) from the
danish System F3, a Minox’s true friend, Nobukazu Takemura,
icon of modern japanese music, Slowly Minute (a project of Takemura’s
Childisc), Static aka Hanno Leichtmann from Germany who worked with
Ronald Lippok (To Rococo Rot, Tarwater) and who participates with
a track featuring the magic voice of Justine Elektra, My Small Brother
and Pato M (remixed by Different Drummer’s The Touchables),
two Invisible Recordings’s projects, Koji Marutani, founder
of Digital Narcis with a minimalistic track branded by Touch and last
but not least The Gentle People from R. D. James’s Rephlex label,
with a remix of a track from Minox’s last “downworks”
