Etnic Bar – Volume 2
The co-operation
between Invisible Recordings and the Etnic Bar in Lugano pursues with
the second release of the’Etnic Bar’ compilation series,
with its usual high quality concentration of sunny beats and positive
vibrations. These comps aren’t just trend followers but sincere
witnesses and receptacles of the bar’s spirit.
This issue sees the compilers propose an other eclectical choice of
pieces coming from the four corners of the planet, with a major influence
set into latin music. Azymuth, Chris and Nina, SUMO and Bah Samba
explore the wide brazilian territory in different shapes from a traditional
approach to one more club oriented. Moreover afrocuban influences
set the groove in tracks like La Gente Urbana (a carrying yoruba track)
and Pato M, the last Invisible Recordings production. The remaining
tracks don’t just stitch the CD toghether reflecting today’s
extravagance, they add a cosy feeling, blowing a vivacious breeze
wearing soul and jazz. From the likes of dZihan & Kamien’s
percussive jazztrip, to SWAG’s beautiful remix of Sunaga ´t
Experience, the sparkling Rawsoul Orchestra feat. Concha Buika, or
the soulful 1050 East with Chris Dockins and last but not least Centovalley’s
initiatic lounge journey. The latter and Pato M’s ‘keep
on Mambo’ appear for the first time on CD.
